My journey to becoming a therapist has been profoundly shaped by my own life experiences. From a young age, I faced significant challenges, including childhood illness, family trauma, and abuse. These early experiences were compounded by the complexities of living through narcissistic abuse within marriage and managing my own ADHD and health struggles. These hardships were pivotal in guiding me toward a career in counselling. I know firsthand the deep need for a safe and supportive space when life becomes overwhelming, and I am passionate about providing that refuge for others.
After four years of rigorous training, I became a fully qualified therapist, but my learning didn’t stop there. I am deeply committed to continued professional growth, always striving to enhance my skills and understanding so that I can offer the best possible support to my clients. Therapy is not just a profession for me; it’s a calling. I am passionate about the transformative magic of therapy—the way it empowers individuals to discover their inner strength, heal, and grow.
I truly believe that each person holds the solutions to their challenges within themselves. My role as your therapist is not to give you the answers but to walk alongside you as you navigate your path, helping you uncover those solutions and offering support every step of the way.
It’s also important to acknowledge that not every therapist is the right fit for every client. Therapy is a highly personal process, and the therapeutic relationship plays a critical role in its success. If you’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t feel right, it could have been the timing, the approach, or simply not the right match with the therapist. I completely understand how big a step it is to seek help, and I encourage you to find the therapist who truly resonates with you. I’m here to offer a down-to-earth, warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where we can explore together whether we are the right fit.
To make therapy as accessible as possible, I offer both in-person sessions in Gloucestershire and online sessions, which provide flexibility to fit therapy into your life in a way that works best for you. Whether you prefer the comfort of your own home or the more traditional setting of an office, I aim to accommodate your needs so that the process feels comfortable and supportive.
